I just got a delivery! So far I've just unboxed and "fondled" the saw a bit, wow! I'll post more detailed pics and first impressions tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again to David and crew at Timberwolf Tools for getting this out so quickly! Attachments:

Some pics of the Mafell next to Festool's TS75. They're pretty comparable in size with the exception of the motor. I've only made a few cuts so I won't say much about the saw yet... well other than I'm still impressed . Oh, and sorry in advance about the bad lighting, I shot these quickly late last night.

Soo jealous! I take it didn't come with a case. Would it fit in a systainer?

Soo jealous! I take it didn't come with a case. Would it fit in a systainer? Yeah, the KSS doesn't come with a case. It must be due to the crosscut rail? The K85Ec comes with Mafell's L-Max case. The KSS80 and K85Ec saws are nearly identical so one could certainly purchase the L-Max as an accessory. I just checked and the saw wont fit in a standard systainer, the motor is just too big .

Nice pics what do you think of the weight of the saw with the cross cut track? At first I thought the saw and crosscut track seemed heavy, and it is at around 19 pounds. But I used the crosscut guide quite a bit yesterday and today and after adjusting my form a bit I really didn't notice the weight. There's a small flat at the back of the guide that you can press your hip into. When you do this it applies even pressure against the stops which are pressed against your workpiece. There's a large area on the left side of the track that you can put the palm of your hand against. This pushes the rail flat against your workpiece. A quick push on the saw and you're onto the next piece.
