With the turbulence in the monetary exchange rates occurring today and the probable rise in the US dollar in the next months it's going to take less US dollars to purchase tools out of Germany. So if your thinking about increasing the tool count its time to think about the list and watch the exchange rates. this is correct,a very good time now for you guys in the US,unfortunately its a disaster for us here in the UK,i gambled and lost,i was going to buy the pure version of the kss40 but held out hoping we would stay in the EU,last Thursday before the vote the saw was £490, today it is £530 plus the shipping is more as it was also priced in euro's,i guess its the end of cheaper tools for us,tomorrow the fuel prices will be going up as well, don't you just love democracy!!

I love being a republic, no so much a democracy. Individual rights issue if you get into the weeds like the founders did, although that's progressively diminished since Teddy Rosevelt.
Six months down the road hopefully you'll be back to normal once the hysteria calms down. The US dollar though will probably still be elevated, not so good for USA exporting companies.

Well I'm trying to be optimistic here. If the EU starts to break up, all bets are off. I was surprised how fast and far the pound dropped though, I think that was reactionary. This next week will be active for sure.

I'm still having a difficult time getting a KSS60 110V shipped to me directly without VAT... The KSS80 110V is looking real tempting, however.

You going to have to do better then that to compete with Germany. And it might not be a bad idea to get those Mafell tools you've always wanted soon. If the EU is going to restrict the wattage of toasters, tea kettles and vacuum cleaners, can table saws, circular saws, and other power tools be far behind?

I guess the term "Brefugees" is completely obvious, here I thought I was brilliant for half a minute.

I thought I did not learn anything in my high school German class, but reading "Schaffen that" I seem to be understanding the meaning. I hope you are joking about the wattage reduction?

I think only applies to domestic use not commercial use or industrial, could be wrong though. Saying that though on my dust extraction is on 1100 watt and the one at home is 2000watts and it works just as well the difference being the filters are much better and the air can flow better so there fore not requirin as much wattage and wasting energy unessarslly
