Luzzy - I'd take 3-4 of the 70120-RED if they only sell them in bulk...

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a German dealer who also sells Festool? Dictums prices seem pretty reasonable but they don't seem to stock a couple of bits I've been considering.
Thanks in advance

I noticed yesterday that their site was down and then it wanted me to load adobe flash S/W. I updates the flash separately not using their link. and it still wanted me to take their S/W. I suspected that they had been hacked. TBD.

Hi,
New member here interested in a Mafell jigsaw. I am sold on the saw but not on where to purchase from. I live in the US where it seems prices are higher than in Europe. It seems like to comes down to peace of mind in the event that something goes wrong. Has anyone had an issue with an overseas purchase needing repair?
Thanks

Thanks Start a search on 220v Neutrik and electrical. You either need a 230 saw and run it on US 220v, or get a transformer from 110v to 220v. Getting 220/230v makes sense if you have other 230v tool needs, and the 230v are cheaper and available. It is not possible to get 110v tools except from the UK or Timberwolf. it is more dire in Australia as there is no distributor. i ordered an extra bearing, which is the only documented failure I have heard of. i am not too worried at all because it is a nice saw and feels super solid in the mitts.

Is anybody using a step down converter for their imported euro tools (220-240v)? And are you forced to use a remote switch for dust collection on your 120V vacuum or are you able to plug the converter into the vac and trigger suction by powering on the tool? Any potential issues? Finally, which converter have you chosen
I'll be using 600-1200w machines, worst case 2500w, and I always look for 20a receptacles to power the vacuum-tool.

Hey erik , have a 1000 watt transformer....... link....the unit works well for a 240 volt battery charger and for a 240 volt sander . The transformer does start the auto feature on trigger vacs . A work around is to use a foot switch for the vac .

I bought it on Amazon and it works well. I use it on the Erika 70 and MF26.

Perfect. Looks like the both units are the same, aside from some logos.

With the turbulence in the monetary exchange rates occurring today and the probable rise in the US dollar in the next months it's going to take less US dollars to purchase tools out of Germany. So if your thinking about increasing the tool count its time to think about the list and watch the exchange rates.
