Now this is what I want to use one of these routers fro, the Arunda Dovetail Timber frame jig. Anyone every used one? how easy is it? Do you need to use the Mafell router for it or will other 3.5 hp routers work (mainly because the mafell router is 230v).
I am finalizing drawings for my house to build and would like to use this for part of the structure that will be exposed. Any more info would be great to have.
Time is a big Factor in determining whether the Arunda jig is a good choice. This tool could save a lot of time. Its also cheaper than the Mortiser, Bandsaw, or Beam Chainsaw. A Mortiser and Beam Saw will be over $10K.
I would be talking to some Timber Frame builders before jumping on the system. It might be cheaper to Prep all your stock and then have a Good Timber Framer spend a few days helping you with the joinery.
Checking out this site the Logan tool looks very nice. Only thing I don't like is the screwing the jig to the beam. But purusing the website I came across this www.timbertools.com/Products/Accessories-voltage-regulator.html A voltage regulator. Not a bad cost and we can run the 230 volt tools by just plugging in 120 to it.
abdon: I stand corrected , the angle fence is only attaches with F -Tracks , what confused me was , that the Timberwolf site mentioned it will work with the NFU machine, yes it will work but only I guess when you use the Ftrack , with other tracks Like the KSS L.

glynnco: Did you order from GereedschapPro? I see them as in stock but I'm located in the US and am not sure if they ship here. I sent them an email asking about shipping but it was returned undeliverable...

jonathan: I've purchased a lot of stuff from our neighbours @ GereedschapPro.nl As far as I know they are one of the larger Mafell dealers in the EU. I can recommend them, they usually respond quickly.
