I did use the Bosch system for drilling the 20mm holes in my bench top and worked well there is a little slop in it but it was not a problem. I don't have either the Festool or mafell router but was looking at them I want to get a new small router my one has no dust collection on it I liked that the dust port on the 1010 was built in what problems did you here about it

My only slight gripe about the 1010 is that the dust port is oblong. Just means you have to squish your hose around it.

The 50 isn't in the latest Mafell catalogue, so maybe it is discontinued?

I noticed that as well. Then again if you look at the accesories for the Erika 60 I think it's listed. It might be getting phased out. Properly best to contact the dealer and see if they can get it

... what problems did you hear about it festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/of-1010-play/Bosch - G0F 900, G0F 1300, G0F 1400, G0F 1600, G0F 1250, G0F 2000, TE 600 (GKF 600) Festool - 0F 1010 EBQ Mafell - L0 50E DeWalt - DW 621, DW 26203 Makita - RP 1110, RP 0900 Might fit more It did not fit mine but I just drilled new holes in it and it works fine but I have got the dd40 since a lot quicker and easer for shelf holes Thanks mickWhat was your's? I got a domino XL, and figure I did not need a domino and the double d 40. The MFT and the Domino are the two tools that seem (to me) pretty much as stand outs in the FT line up. The old routers were a craftsman '70s 1/4" and a 1/2" (mid '80s and I think Hitachi??, but in 110v). The 1/2" did me well, and the 1/4" was a total mongrel of a thing.

Holmz,
I've owned the LR 32 for many years and must confess I don't like it, way too fiddly. I'd suggest getting whatever plunge router takes your fancy and buying a basic shelf pin jig that works with a router, no idea what's available in OZ. Otherwise jigs utilizing Vix style drill bits work ok although they produce more tear out than do router bits.

Mostly because it appears to have better dust collection than the Bosch. I was a bit scared away from the Festool OF-1010 from the fellow in Estonia that had the dramas. Plus if I was getting the OF1010 it would make sense to get it in country and that was 875 with the fence. Whereas the LO 50 was 596 Au. With the Bosch FSN OFA 32 800 kit and a 20, 30, and 40 bushing, plus 116-Euro of the shipping it all came to 955 AUD. Tobias had none in stock and Mafell had no LO 50 to send Tobias. Timberwolf do not carry it. On Dictum it now says "none in stock", so I guess I got the last one from them. Whether it is good decision or bad will be discovered over time. I have no comparison other than with the recollections of the 70's craftsman 1/4". So if I am not swearing too much, and not flocked like a XMAS tree with wood chips, then I will consider it a success providing it lasts On the general note of justification... There is a new bathroom cabinet in the works. Which will now go into its own thread.

Notice the fine-adjustment at my LO50E. Absolutely unexpected and appreciated! Seems as I'll just have to copy it
