Great to see how easy it levels with that foot pedal. What were you checking whew starting the blade forward?

I would be checking that the fence is perfectly square with the blade this is done by setting the fence parallel with the saw blade so a simple pull at the start of when setting up just to confirm any settings don't need adjusting

Hey thanks for this! I had no Idea blade changes were done from underneath the saw. I know you're trying to film the process here but do you find it difficult to get your arms in to hit the spindle lock button and loosen the arbor nut? Or is there enough room in there to do your business? I like that there is a spindle lock!

Or is there enough room in there to do your business? I like that there is a spindle lock! no as long as you lock the saw so it rests in the middle then it is not too bad. The spindle lock is just simply a button that that you push and when you turn the spindle finds a hole to go into. So you have to keep it pushed. I know on the festool saw it is done from above, the reason I got told mafell didn't go down that route was for accuracy as dust can get below the table causing it go off

Thats a new one. Had no idea thats how the blade was removed. Doesn't look difficult but it seems like a table insert would make more sense. Then you could have a zero clearance insert but I'm sure Mafell has there reasons.

Here's a vid of making a housing joint and using 2 fences one as a stop and the second fence to place the wood against. I should have done the housing before the rebate was taking out
