We're building a new home that's a blend of stick and timber framing. The interior picture is of the living room ceiling. Attachments:

Nice looking build, Jason. And what a stunning location.

Thanks Lincoln, we're fortunate to build mostly on waterfront locations.

Thanks Lincoln, we're fortunate to build mostly on waterfront locations. US, or Canada?

Kenora, Ontario Canada. We're about 2 hours east of Winnipeg.

Do you do interior work, as well as the framing? Do you use many Mafell tools? Sorry about all the questions, but I'm genuinely interested.

Fire away with the questions, I'm happy to answer them. We generally do the entire build from the concrete, framing and decks through to the finishing including hardwood, tile, trim and painting. I also build the partition doors, custom stairs/railings and cabinetry.
We sub out the excavating, HVAC, electrical and drywall.
Most of our tools are Festool, but we have the Mafell: ZSX, Z5, KSS 80, KSS 400 and MKS 130.

OK I am intrigued. Q1) What goes between the slab and the timbers for avoid water wicking/creep?

This project doesn't have a slab, we cleared all of the soil from the bedrock (even pressure washed it) and poured a step footing onto the rock, pinning it with 3/4" re-bar every 32". We built a pressure treated wall on the footing (ICF on the back wall where we will be burying it) and then built a floor with dimensional lumber. The timbers are in contact with the plywood sub-floor.
I should add some pictures showing a bit more of how we got to where we are on this project..

Foundation work and a start on the lower level floor...

The lower level walls, main level floor and a partially completed pergola. The last picture is of a wall nearly ready to stand. It gets pretty cold here in the winter (-34 C today) so we build the walls with 2x6 studs, osb sheathing, 1.5" thick rigid Roxul insulation, 1x4 strapping screwed into the studs and then the Tyvek.

We use Proctor wall jacks to stand our walls and I built this contraption to allow us to use a wall jack to hoist our timbers. It works very well. Attachments:

I see you're using an arunda jig. How do you like it?

No Arunda jig. Those are just ordinary rectangular beam pockets. I drill out the bulk of the waste with a Forstner bit and then attach a shop built router jig and rout out the remaining waste.
I've looked into the Arunda but I can't justify the cost.
