dunk1976 I make you a deal on one... As I have it on top of the CT26 but never installed it. (I am thinking of using the space for an Eu-female outlet instead and then I can plug-in an Eu charger.)

I'm in the UK, will it still work? And how much ? If you are in a hurry then probably go to RTS. I can see how much shipping is, but it is a small box, so I would expect not too much. what postal code are you in ? (PM me ?) and I can see if it will cost me more to send it than it is worth.

Not been here for sometime, when I bought the KSS300 I thought it the bes tool I had ever bought, I would just like to say after living with it for sometime now my opinion is still the same. I'm doing things with this that should be done on a table saw. As for the 1 1/2 inch limit I have two work arounds, one is quite simply flip it over and cut the other side. Or use the accuratcy of the Mafell to cut as much as possible then use the grove as a guide for another cheap and cheerful saw or finish by hand. It makes a surprisingly decent end result. An off Mafell topic question. Lamello Zeta systems, anyone have any experience of them? Do any of the fittings provide a stronger fixing than a normal glued biscuit, or are they really best for knock down furniture or items that don't need to last for a decent period of time?

There are some good threads under Lamello - 'Other great tools'... probably the best place to look/ask. Definitely one on my shopping list.

I have finally had a chance to give my KSS300 a workout. I've been installing Red Cedar shingles and new windows in my house. The 300 is great for all those angled cuts along the rakes. For window installs I've been fixing all the situations like window not high enough above kitchen sink, window frame running into bath tub tiled wall. Rough opening to big . I have been using the cross cut track the flex track and the parallel guide. I ripped down a 12 ft long corner trim board. Miter cuts to trim roof rake returns. I agree with GhostFist, I love this saw. I have the KSS300, MT55, And P1cc. I was going to get a kss80 next but I'm seriously thinking KSS60 for those times when I want to cut something thicker. also to replace my 7.25 in Milwaukee circular saw. I really would like one of each of the KSS saws. I would put them in a gold plated display case. When it's time to cut something I would contemplate the type and thickness of material The type of cut I want to make and after several long moments with careful deliberation reach in and retrieve my choice. Setup the material and any tracks or clamps. Double check my setup, Then pull the trigger make the cut and take a break.

I really want a 300 or the cordless 40 and I also want the 60. I have the 80, love it for the thicker stuff I cut, but would like a smaller saw for, well, the smaller stuff!

Haha. happy to see I am not the only one wondering what this thingy is. I found it laying loose in the box when unpacking a brand new kss300. It looks like made of carbon . I ended up sending a picture of this to my dealer who responded its only use is for protection or fixation during transport and it may be discarded. Still unclear though what its actual function was. it is laying at the bottom of the systainer since .

I think it's to protect the front edge of the rail during transport
