I'm in the same boat. I'm confident with the battery tech that it should be plenty for the little 300. Still would like 36v for a 55mm saw

I would assume the title designation "kss 40 18m bl" means that it is in fact a brushless motor. I'm hoping there's a bare tool option to purchase as all I need is the saw and dustbag

Nice one it sounds like they are phasing out the old ksp saws with the new K65 and kss65. I do wonder if in the future a k55 will come out have to wait and see Next month in the uk thier dm tool show. Mafell have hinted to me that new kss 40/18bi will be thier. I think we'll need to wait on the others

Yes it means exactly that. I expect Metabo battery packs and I'm very curious if they go 1x36v or 2x18v. I will be going either to BWS in Austria Oct. 6 - 9, or Woodtec in Czech Republic, which is two weeks later, but much closer from where I live. I am in Slovakia. Either way, I will take pictures so I can post here on MUF.

I have no great desire for a battery powered unit... Maybe it is a good time to get a the 400 model?
