Looks like they expect you to actually trust the bevel adjustment in the back and have made it user friendly, that’s encouraging. Any thoughts or impressions on the visibility and definition of the laser compared to what’s currently out there? (cutting capacity / weight)

I have some sweet videos I need to get up on Instagram and YouTube.

Thanks for the pics. How is the dust collection? John We just had it hooked up to the bag. Seemed pretty good. We're cutting a lot at all kinds of angles. Filled the bag up multiple times.

Awesome! This is the one for me for sure - it ticks ALL of my boxes for weight, capacity, portability and battery + corded! I have a very small and portable saw but not in a platform of my choice. I currently don't have a large mitre saw. Was going to see what the Hitachi 10" cordless would be like - but I have little use for a 10" mitre saw. I was looking at getting the 6" Hitachi but though "I would like to have one" it is too limited. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a great saw, made in Japan = Me Like.
I saw a guy (RR buildings) who was lifting one up on a clip on the webz - and it sure looks like a very good size.

My thoughts exactly Henrun. Unfortunately my need just got a bit greater as my kapex just went up in smoke. I will try and muddle along with just the kss saws for now until this hits the UK.

Ouch - that plain sucks! I sold my 120 Kapex after a few years - did not use it much due to the sheer bulk for onsite work though I did like it for stationary work - so hardly ever used it... I hardly ever need the cut height so I kept using an old Makita LS0714 (brilliant saw) and I have settled for 7 1/2" to 8" as the best size for me.
As a stop gap solution I bought a large Metabo KGS 315 (the cheap one) and I burnt that one out on a decking build which got me a new one under warranty. It was cheap enough and cut square. Sold if off with a bunch of other misc items at the end of the season.
For now all I have is the Festool SYM 70 and the DLS600 and an old Hitachi at the shop on a Metabo mitre stand so I can hang in there for a while. I am hoping the new HiKoki will surface sooner in Europe, 2019 is not that far away though...

Not being on FoG anymore, I assume that there is still some corporate denial that the saws are burning up, followed by the loyal coming down hard on people with smoking motors blaming them for user error?
