Thanks! Sure looks like 45 bevel only...
For odd bevels beyond 45 I am used to shimming anyway so no problem for me at all. As long as the 45 is true I am good with that. I don't plan on building out of square and for trims in old houses shimming at the saw is business as usual...

I think one side cuts 0º to 57º (?) Don't forget to pack. btw - they misspelled PTIA2018 in the upper right corner, it supposed to read PITA2018

Yes Mitre range seems to be 57 degrees one way, that's fine by me. Bevel seems to be 45 only both sides. Could have been a little better but no biggie for me.
Blister packs are the Devils handy work...

arvid: you and me both...
I am happy to give this a go, just need to find out where I can actually get one. Next large project starts in mid February so I can squeeze one into the budget for sure. Cordless is a must for the first two-three months - at the moment I have no real option, the little Makita DLS600 will not be up to the abuse of framing and large studs.
Looking at the bevel range and the mechanism I would be surprised if it did not go past 45 degrees a smidge, have had/seen other mitre saws specified at 45 that actually went past that too. Not saying this one will but it would be a strange oversight considering that Hitachi (sic) usually have their tools well planned out.

Groovy music and a shaky video - what more could you ask for!
Not the C3606 DRA (165mm blade) saw next to it in the video - very nice too!

About 1:30 into this video they are flexing the bevel adjustment and it does seem like there would be a slight chance to go past 45 to one side, but not the other. Some more cheesu musicu and inspired japanesu commentaru.
The "pretty in pink" is probably the corded saw, I don't think they sell the battery version 7 1/2" in Pink. Sorry guys...
