I've thought the same about it. Just being slightly on the expensive side. If they sold the adapter fo the standard F rails separately I would consider it. Mt guess is you are doing cuts that require clamping both ends all day then maybe worth it if cutting laminated material with the MT55. As I don't have either can't give an honest opinion only a thought

Hi guys, I was wondering how much the aero fix is going for theses days at Timberwolves? I was planning on ordering some extra rails but am considering this as another option. So far I have 2 1600mm and one 1100mm. Thanks.

Can you extend the aero fix by attaching another F rail to it with the connected (F-VS)?

Really interested in this, after a bit of stuffing around tonight, clamping rails. I know you can join a standard f-rail to it, but how well does it hold? If the Aerofix has good holding power, and of course the rails join so well, I can't see any problem with it - right? Seems so much more sophisticated than clamping!

The aerofix is too short on its own to cross cut a standard 4x8 sheet. And you cannot use it in conjunction with the angle guide. You will not have vac hose snag though and it really is great to use Once you get used to it. Pricey though.

Ended up ordering some accessories, including the Aerofix and long hose. Also ordered the DD40 template rail.

I decided to hold out on the Aerofix for now. I ordered enough from Tobias to keep me busy and I am also working on selling off my Festool rails and saws. I'm thinking about ditching the Domino once I am up to speed on the Duo Doweler.

I'm thinking about ditching the Domino once I am up to speed on the Duo Doweler. I think that there is a place for each type of machine - the Dominos are great for certain applications so you might want to hold on to it for awhile if you can justify it - I think that the doweler and the XL Domino is the perfect combination.

Agree on the XL, but don't see anything the regular Domino can do that the doweler can't do. Before I bought the Domino I tried the XL knowing there were adapters that would allow it to use the smaller bits, but decided against it. It's too heavy for me to comfortably use continuously and for smaller pieces like face frames it's physically too big. I generally avoid buying adapters and other rigs designed to make a tool stretch its functionality as they never seem to work out as well. That's just me though. I know others who own the XL with the various 3rd party plates and extenders and are happy with it for big and small jobs and workpieces. I am not ditching it yet, but am waiting a while to see if a reason need arises. If not I can unload it on one of the green koolsiers on FOG within a few days.

I agree on not getting the adapters and stuff - I think that some of those gizmos just are not the best for the tool's design, but everyone raves about them.

Aerofix turned up today. Haven't had time to really check it out, but first impressions are positive - usual Mafell high standards.
