I absolutely love this little gem. It performed beautyfully on this project that I had for my client. Most of the work was in cutting and bending dibond panels. I used a router to cut all the grooves and the little KSS 40 for all the other intricate cuts to shape it. During intstall this week it was great to have all the features of the saw available in such a portable package. Minutes before closing I was able to quickl whip out the flex rail and trim a window panel right on the busiest section of Manhattan's 5th ave

How's battery life holding up? Mine should be in at the end of next week.

I do a little bit of work like this, but mostly I do shows of my own work. This was a job through a designer friend for one of thos uber high end jewelery stores on the east side. My work varies a lot and a tool like this is such a handy companion for all kinds of applications. Obviously, it is for lighter duty work but by the nature of how ready to go it is, untethered, it will probably be he first thing I will reach for.
The battery power was pretty good. One battery charge lasted me almost a day. It was great having several of the Metabo batteries from my drill as backup.
The dust collection is certainly much better on a saw like the MT55cc. Larger chips and particles from cutting the aluminum composite panels weren't picked up as well. It did pick up the finer particles.

Are you talking about collection with the bag or with a vac? I found collection was pretty good with a vac on the 300 the mt55 is better though

I find the bag picks up quite a lot of chips and dust. Not as good as a vacuum obviously. As for the battery life, one battery normally lasts me a full day.

The reason why it didn't pick up as much is that the dibond creates a lot of string like cut off material. Almost like wool. There seemed to be too little clearance between the blade and the case to be able to move most of that back towards the rear dust extraction. No such problems with wood.

So i was considering getting a TSC but knowing how much I love my KSS300 , this appears to be a no brainer. In the US, what do you do for a battery charger if you import it?

Use a metabo charger. I already owned one with my drill so it was a no brainer

I would guess most current 18v Metabo chargers are compatible. I got an email from Tobias this morning and he said one of his customers was going to confirm the compatibility with the Metabo chargers but never did. I'll peruse what's available on the inter web

I think it's been confirmed by kalas in this thread. I'm expecting delivery of one any time now and will triple confirm.

You can get 'em on eBay, or I'll sell you one, I have 5 or 6 now.
Too bad we can't get the ASC Ultra here, it cuts the charge times down, especially for the big 6.2 LiHD, which takes quite a while to charge.
