Have fun with the "hose garage on the mini/midi it's a royal PITA. I still miss my midi though for portability, it was awesome Ghost, what kind of problem did you have with the hose Garage? If its useless in daily use there are other vacs that are light and handy too but much cheaper... Is there a difference between the hose garage of the mini/midi and the ct26? Thanks for your help!

The problem with the hose garage on the midi is size, plus the fact that you also have to coil the power cable in there as well. It's a fight. I do love the size of the midi though, much more portable. Not very stable when stacking systainers on it to use as a dolly.

I like my CT26 and find that it is not too bad for portability. I have a CT22 too with the Boom Arm, etc... but I like the CT26 without any accessories except for the hose holder.

Thanks Ghost, i'll have a closer look at the mini/midi and compare it with the CT26 at my local dealer in 2-3 weeks ;-) I'll report my impressions...

Due to recalls here in Canada I was forced to exchange my midi for a 26. There are totally some upgrades on the 26 over the midi, but the midi is much more nimble.

When it comes to portable vacs I prefer small. I have the 26 and mini and prefer the mini for transport. The 26 hardly leaves the shop. If theres another vac in my future it will be small.

I thought that Mafell and Bosch are using the same manufacturer.

Thanks Jonathan. I never realized that Karcher made vacs. I'll have to do some research on them.
I think the model it's copied after is the Karcher NT 35/1 Tact

I have a 26 and a mini as well. The 26 stays in the shop and that mini has become a work horse. I found that if you let the hose loops stick out of the hose garage about 6" or so in the front , you have enough room to coil up the cord as well. The mini is great for putting in our job site gang boxes as well.

Really like that small vac. I roll everything up just as you mentioned without trouble.

I have a midi, 26 & 36. Something is wrong with my midi so I need to send it in. If festool would allow it I would love to pay the difference and trade for another 26 or 36. I work on job sites much more often than in the shop but I value the stability more than the small size. Lots of opinions & they are all valid to me.
