Fogot to say: you have to remove the original isp-handle first and cover the connecting lead carefully with some solid fabric-tape to keep the vac splash-proof (it originaly is!). The aluminium tube on one of the pictures only covers the long screw beneath the handle to avoid injuries (its 49mm long, but you may also use some tape instead) All 3 screws are going into the original "threads" of the vac, you only have to make a 5mm bore in the handle of the dock

Cool vac! It's a shame it's not available in the US... I assume they will be soon cause Starmix was taken over by some russians, they keep production in germany and expand in international markets (not only russia ;-) ). But don't know when... Thats the new globalization i guess, companies from Russia and China buy german companies and often expand production in gerrmany... The next generation of Mafell vacs are again made by Starmix, only rumors now, but i think they are probably true...

Hi again, metabo are selling the new starmix ISP ARDL 1435 as METABO ASR 35 also in the us, you'll find it her on their US-Website: www.metabo.us/Product-catalog-handheld-powertools.23980+M5d780db3dc9.0.htmlMetabo has many distributors in NA, but dont know if the prices are good. if you want to do the mod i've done with the systainer dock you can also use the metabo dock for it, its identical with the. Mafell dock but same color as the metabo vac (dark green).

Looks like CPO has the Metabo Starmix Vacs for the USA. Although its listed as an "ARS 35." I wonder if thats different than the "ASR 35 L." Also looks like you pay an extra $250 for the HEPA filter. www.cpometabo.com

Also looks like you pay an extra $250 for the HEPA filter. www.cpometabo.comHi jalvis, the metabo vac in your link is the ASR 35, they wrote it wrong... I dont see the exact difference between the both offered vacs in your link caus i know that Starmix is selling only 3 versions with 2 different filters. The normal filter is always good enough, you can even clean it with water, it fits the "M" class in germany which you have to have in a professional shop for sanding... The higher/better "H"- filters are for work with "Asbestos" where you need to comply very strict regulations in Germany... The Starmix "H" vacs have also some changes in the vacs itself, but i dont know them... This "H" Filters have nothing to do with "HEPA" which i only know from smaler vacs for private use (house-dust allergy). The Metabo vacs seem to have less supply included than the starmix one (models ending with"EWS" which means the supplies), shorter hose (only 3,5 meters), the tubes are mode of plastic instead of stainless steel... Perhaps its the best idea to wait for the new Mafell vacs, which may be available next year?! But i have to say, i dont know anyone who is not satisfied with his "old" mafell/starmix vac which has the same self cleaning and filter technologie (not constantly working during use, the only difference). There is a starmix product manager that shows a lot of commitment in the biggest german tool forum, his mail-adress is (he postet this several times, so i assume its no problem to do it here): villalva@starmix.de

Made some more and better pics of the vac with the dock and mounted systainers/supplies... One more thing concerning the modifications i made: in this position of the dock it may be difficult to mount the big steel-handle on the vac which is also available for the iPulse-vacs.
