Dude I haven't really tried doing it that way although I do have the bosch router adapter how did you take the slop out of it or do you just keep pressure on the rail thanks for the photos

It's kinda goofy but I twist the adapter. I set the tightening knob snug and then turn the adjustment knob a little bit and then tighten down the other knob. It twists tight. I am not sure if that makes sense.
The problem is it's a PITA to set up every time with the same offset. I just ordered an extra base so I will only have to do it once. I have been using 20mm to the center line and that's been working well for me.
The key is the rule stop to set it up on your board fast. Another thanks to MrToolJunkie for that recommendation.

Mick, have you used the router with a rail for dados? I've never been happy with a router on the table but with a rail it's my new go to. I like that I feel I have more control moving the router instead of the board and I can see what's going on. I'm using the bosch FSN OFA router guide on the mafell/bosch rails. It isn't perfect (the guide needs some tweaking to get the play out of it) but it does a pretty good job. Untitled by thedude306, on Flickr Hi, what is the ruler guide you are connecting to the FSN Rail? Thank you!
