No, I didn't use it that much over the years. I always had both and rarely found a need for the 75, the occasional door and some thick walnut. I did like the extra power when needed- which is why I'm thinking of the Mafell as a decent splitting of the difference.

Well I'll be interested in how you think it fares. Never used a ts75

Hi everyone- New user. Long time Festool fan, looking to purchase a MT55 to replace 2 Festool saws. I find myself in a tiny workspace and I can't justify keeping 2 saws around. Hoping that the MT55 will split the difference, nicely. I am particularly intrigued by the rail connection system- I currently have one of the long Festool rails and storage has become and issue. Hopefully, the Mafell system will solve some of my issues. I've actually ordered a whole slew of Bosch rails from Germany- so I'm all in, even without a saw! Welcome. Can I ask where you got your rails from?

Sure, I ordered them straight from the Amazon.de - Google translates the pages and you can sort by sellers that do international shipping. With the euro being what it is, I found that I could order all the Bosch rails that I needed for several hundred dollars less than the equivalent Mafell rails from Timberwolf. They came relatively quickly, perfectly packed. Shame they don't sell 110v saws...

Welcome. Can I ask where you got your rails from? BB, Where are you located? I got the Bosch ones, but using the Mafell connector just to spruce it up. So there are some potential options. I do not know if the Bosch "OFA 32Kit 800" is useful if you do not have a router and therefore do not need to do 32-mm spaced shelf holes... But the Kit comes with the Bosch clamps, which I like so far. I have 2 pars of Red Mafell clamps for sale if anyone is interested.

I've ordered from Germany once already to get some Mafel and a few small Festool accessories. The savings were worth while since everything went smoothly. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth ordering rails. The obvious concern is shipping rails across the ocean without damage. You could get burned in a hurry if it goes wrong. I'm all set with the Festool LR32 and I'll be happy enough with Mafel clamps. On my list is a F 110 and 160 rail, and maybe the Angle fence F-WA. That's just under $400 from Timberwolf, another $20-30 with shipping. I haven't looked at what it's going to cost to have these item shipped from Europe. At this point I'm interested in where everyone is ordering from and the deals they gotten. BTW, I ordered from Dictum, after a short delay for a backordered item the shipping was fast and reasonably priced. I like that they have an english version of their site. That makes it easier to navigate. The down side is they don't use the manufacture's product number so it can be a little harder to search for products. I'm not promoting them, just reporting my experience. From reading here there are other good places to order from as well.

Where in the states BB?
I have ordered through both Dictum and Tobias . Tobias is cheaper and Dictum is easier as it is all an English capable web site. I like always getting Tobias.
The Bosch rails you can probably pick up locally, if you can stand a Bosch made rail that is not painted with the Mafell logos... For me it was easy as the price was a lot cheaper and they have Bosch rail 'in country'. They should be here any day. So I would suggest you consider getting the F-WA angle fence from Germany, or Timberwolf, and then Bosch rails locally if you are on a budget (like me).
If you want genuine unopened Mafell red clamps I'll do you a deal. Basically whatever dictum says and I'll pay the shipping. Or your best offer. I have 2 pair.

Just this past month, Dictum would not sell me Mafell power tools and ship to USA, per email exchange, refereed me to Mafell site for a "supplier in North America", so I went with Tobias. Might try Dictum for non-powered accessories, but at this point Tobias has been accommodating why bother with other source, and I think Tobias price was slightly better.

Hi. My name is Andi and i'm a hobbyist. After building a porch with only a handsaw and a 40-odd year old Bosch drill and having bought 3 cheapo drills in as many months, i decided in 2012 to buy serious tools. That got me started on Festool, due to some nice tax-refunds.Now i'm dabbling in doing odd furniture, keep the house standing and i actually really enjoy making picture frames... I started an apprenticeship in carpentry/cabinetry in 2000 but didn't finish it due to lack of intrest after doing practical work in a professional carpentry-firm. I'm a German living in Sweden. And everything is more expensive here. Believe me.
