Looking at one of these to replace my Festool Midi. I can import it for a lot less than I can get the Festool CTL26 locally. I need more capacity, and the 25L would be a decent upgrade. I've enquired about the S25L, the cleaning set, the plate for attaching systainers and a box of bags. I'll sell my Midi, but keep the 36mm hose - I'm hoping it will fit the S25? Anyone have any experience with this vac, or any of the other Mafell extractors?

Sold my Midi yesterday, and have placed an order for an S25 L. The plate for attaching systainers is sold as an accessory for the M series vacs, but Tobias assures me it fits the L series as well.

I havent looked that close at the Mafell vacs. I have several brand Vacs including Festool, Fein, and Mirka/Clarke. What separates the Mafell?

I would have been happy with the 26 litre Festool, but once again it was a lot cheaper for me to import the Mafell. The amount I got for my Midi covered 3/4 of the cost of the Mafell. Based on the Mafells' that I already have, I'm sure I'll be happy with the S25.

My vac, and accessories, have been sent. I know it's not as exciting as a saw etc, but I'm really looking forward to receiving it, and giving it a workout!

Last week I walked into a job where a guy had been blasting away on plaster walls with a 1/2 sheet sander, no vac, no fan...no way. After only a few years of seriously using a vacuum, there's no way I would go back. I even set-up an air scrubber on most jobs to catch whatever the vacuum missed. Dust collection is definitely at the core of my service.

... Dust collection is definitely at the core of my service. It is usually at the core of complaints, so addressing it up front seems worthwhile. (Have you ever seen an angry woman?)

I cant imagine not using a vac system with tools. I just sold my last sander because it didnt' have a dust port for the Vac. I will never own another sander without dust collection. Its senseless.

The reason I got into using a vac was I used to put dust sheets down on the floor then I had the problem of emptying them then if you used any power tool the shavings and dust would go everywhere where with using a vac I can now leave a much tidier job as most of the dust is catched at source which is obviously better for my health and it shows you care and can leave the custumer house how it was found not covered in dust everywhere. Saying that I know people who will never or have no interest in using dust collection you go on the job and everything is covered in dust. I don't know about other people here but I find it depressing working like that. When I started obviously dust collection hadn't really started yet the company I worked for everything had to be tidied up at the end of the day then the next day you come in nice tidy work place and it makes everybody feel good

Aran I know what you are saying I always cleaned up at the end of the day so as to start the next day fresh If I worked in privet homes I would have Got a vac years ago but I work on sites and you know what that's like but since I got one I now hate dust. When routing mdf now I just can't believe the difference will never go back
