Hey Holmz, this thread reminds me of that Men at Work song: "you've been a bad boy Johhny" , "but I like you"?

It seems funny still to reply to a post complaining about FT buggery and complaints of no lube, with a "last tango in Paris" reference.
But double entendre is a French word, and French humour is not as appreciated as it once was.

Yes, us Aussies are just a bunch of whingers. Everybody else seems perfectly happy to just bend over & take it from dear old uncles Fester & Stolli, so why shouldn't we? Just don't mention the war! Or animal-based lubricants.

The moving from the strip for a beveled cut being somewhat inconsistent is the relative flaw given that the Bosch GKT 55 ("MT55 Lite") seems to be shown follow the strip. Then again, some assumptions were made and the relative lack of consistency between MT55ccs of various owners in terms of the spacing from the strip seems odd... There's ways to improve the Erika's dust collection ... ...to confirm that the concept works and if anyone feels like doing so on their Erika then they're happy to look at the mprovements. Yea... that I noticed. I actually contacted Mafell about that. The said it is designed to move away when beveling to not cut the strip, so it stays in perfect condition for 90° cuts. Which I find rubbish. Especially when ist is inconsistent. Also they advertise other models to cut at the strip under any angle. Do you have pic's of your improvements? Regards Martin

holmz, I was beginning to fear the worst when, after purchasing the new Festool Hybrid sander Set, you failed to question my judgement and suggest a Mirka alternative.
Normally, people get an uneasy feeling when they sense someones presence. In this case, it was the lack of your presence that sent chills down my spine.
On the bright side, I'm glad to see you continue to grace our existence with your wit and charm, however slippery it may be...

holmz, I was beginning to fear the worst when... How is that FT unit working out for you? Sis gets here today, and I will find out where I am at with the DX93... I found a bunch of papers the other day. I think Iit was you that was interested in it, but I cannot get into the FT-forum, so I am unable to look at messages. On the bright side, I'm glad to see you continue to grace our existence with your wit and charm, however slippery it may be... The double entendre if strong in ^this^ one. ----- I went to Brian Boggs chair makers yesterday in Asheville, NC and they do some good work. They had a few of the Mirka pneumatic sanders laying around. And a lot of bend wood as either steam bent or glu-lam style.

Can't you just unplug router from ISP for a few hours and let it reset your IP address, plus clear cache, cookies, browser, etc. then sign up using a new disposable email address (gmx, protonmial, etc.)? If those old standby's don't work anymore just use someones else's IP connection to set up multiple accounts with disposable email accounts over at FOG and then log into them from your own later.

Not at home at the moment, and the Haus has a fixed IP and how.... even if one registers with another name the machine's MAC address is the same. Hi how appears to be checked

request new router from ISP and use tablet or phone to log in instead of laptop/desktop (?) or just go VPN.

request new router from ISP and use tablet or phone to log in instead of laptop/desktop (?) or just go VPN. Analine, from Slovakia, and a few others have interesting stuff that would be good to see. otherwise the fan-boi posts usually get me offering a contrarian perspective. it is difficult to offer a contrarian perspective here, as it is intellectually difficult to recommend a carvex as a viable p1cc alternative. It is also intellectually difficult to recommend the Festool rails over the Bosch rails.

Intellectually?
Surely you mean 'morally', old chap! LOL
Oh, by the way, Merry Christmas, all!

Intellectually? Surely you mean 'morally', old chap! LOL Oh, by the way, Merry Christmas, all! I meant intellectually, but morally also works. it seems both morally wrong, as well as moronically, to advocate the Carvex as a viable replacement for a p1cc... and then some Diane tribe about user error in setting the guides and requiring special Allen wrenches. ...Much in the same way a Betterley connector with FT rails being somehow better than a better rail system. it is enough make a cat laugh.

Wow.
I hadn't seen that Betterley connector-aligner before.
Whilst it may be helpful for Festool/Makita rail users, there must be some seriously red faces over at Festool HQ.
Then again, because of the shameful bevel-cutting misalignment of the MT55cc, there should be some blood(y) red faces over at Mafell HQ, too.
It's amazing how companies can devote so many hundreds of thousands of Euros to R&D and manufacturing, but overlook such basic and fundamental flaws.
