Been looking for a snug-fitting, soft, padded, canvas bag to protect my MT55CC when I don't have room, or don't want, to carry the Systainer. Makita do a 10"x10"x10" cube, but that's not big enough (I measure the MT55CC as being 15"x9.5"x9", which is 380x240x230mm) Ryobi's UTB02 bag is nearer to fitting the MT55CC, but still slightly too small (13"x10"x8"): Can anyone suggest something almost exactly suited to the dimensions of the MT55CC? ....Just found this, on eBay UK, which is just 40mm too long, and spot-on for width and height, which is a pretty close fit - it'd only be necessary to rip-out the dividers: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ACCU-Case-Flat-Pak-Bag-4-Lightweight-Lighting-FX-Par-Can-Storage-Transport-Case-/191279223687 I find it surprising that Mafell, Bosch and Festool are happy to rip people off for overpriced guide rail bags, but haven't thought to offer something similar for the plunge saws themselves, for times when a Systainer is too cumbersome.

I decided to go for the DJ lighting bag I found on eBay (the last image in my above, first, post in this thread): There are 2 identical, full-length pockets on the outside (1 on each side), each of which is just tall enough to hold a blade, but you'd need to protect the bag from the teeth, in some way. Overall, it's a great choice for the MT55cc, being a very snug fit. I would prefer it to be more thickly padded, but it's definitely sufficient, especially if placing the movable divider pads one at each end of the saw, and the other underneath the saw. Attachments:

(apologies for the random placement of the attached pics - the editor applet is a liar and formats the content differently from the way I have placed it)

How is the bottom support on bag?

LOL - the link is right there in my first post. Here's another: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142407605446The bottom support isn't rigid, but it's perfectly adequate, given that the base of the saw is flat and rigid in its own right (like the rest of the bag, the bag base is padded). It's not a super heavy-duty item, but I'd say it's medium-duty, and ideal for keeping the saw from getting cracked or dinged, when it isn't convenient to carry the saw in the original systainer (which, as you know, is larger and made from brittle ABS plastic) I'm happy with the bag. It's a nice snug fit, and will keep my MT55cc from harm, as long as I don't throw it around to an irresponsible degree.
