To be honest when I'm doing kitchens internal fitting out work I always run my saws with an extractor ,personally I think in people's houses it's pretty rude not to use extraction ,the mt55 is excellent in corded will be interested to see what dust is like on the cordless . by the way I bought the kss 40 with a view to selling my kss300 and I find I prob use the kss300 more because of the extraction " not selling either though " just thought I'd say if you are feeling cheesed regards Gary

When you say you use the KSS300 more than the KSS 40, because of the extraction, are you referring to how much the blade is shrouded, or some other reason?

Main reason is auto start up and I've been using rail type saws with extraction for a good few years now so just used to it , when I got the kss40 " which I love " being lazy it seemed a chore to me to lean over and turn on vac before each cut . That said extraction with the bag is pretty good but not quite as good as the vac . When Doing site work or decking etc really like no cords though just feel a bit more comfortable in people's homes with corded perfect world for me would be kss40/300 hybrid which could run on battery or cord "also then could have blade brake " . Walking into people's houses with a kss300 ,Festool ct sys vac and a mafell jigsaw still makes me chuckle what you can do with these and carried in one hand .
