Hello I have recived my Mafell P 1cc jigsaw today. While checking the jigsaw I have noticed that (while the jigsaw blade is locked in) the blade got no literal movement but can be moved a little forwards . Is it a normal thing or something is wrong with the jigsaw? Thanks for any help

Does it work? The car is in the garage, but I think mine has some fore and aft movement...

Is the oscillation setting advanced?

Thank you Holmz and Eric for your input. The forward/backward play is there, regardless of the oscillation level, and it seems more prominent then in the video, Holmz have posted. The jigsaw seems to cut fine (did not have chance to test it with real challenge). I will make a video and will upload it to youtube tomorrow. Please check it if you could, your feedback is highly appreciated.

Is the oscillation setting advanced? I don't think it is too advanced, as even I can use it,... In the the video the fellows name is Sander... WTF?

Completely normal, made a quick video for anyone curious showing the differences with the shaft and bladeholder bottomed out vs at the top of the stroke and the pendulum setting influences:
I don't think it matters if the blade wiggles a little in the blade holder when the pendulum is disabled as the upstroke motion would bottom the blade out against the T shank and prevent it from tipping.

Thanks again for all the info. Just in case i have made a short clip of the blade movement. Its amplitude is same regardless of the pendulum setting

Was going to make a similar video myself. You guys have better cameras though. I would say that movement is normal and does not effect performance. Thanks to the gang for chiming in!
