Hello to everyone, my name is Milosh, i live in Serbia, i'm electrical engineer with no job currently and one of my hobbies is cabinetry... I recently got in possession of secondhand Mafell mt55cc that is about 2 years old. my concern is that mine MT55cc heats up very quickly after 3-4 minutes of use. Aluminum housing heats up to 50 degrees celsius after only 4 minutes of working in idle. also i have in my possession Festool Ts55 rebq that doesn't heats up much as Mafell i've took readings with infrared thermometer and the reading is 50 degrees celsius Is it normal? what is your expirience with heating ? in picture is shown point (red cross) where have i made readings, there heats up most of all places p.s. sorry for my English i hope you get the point

I've had mine for several years and it does not heat up like that. How are the brushes?

The area the cross is over looks like where a bearing would sit. Could it be that the bearing is worn/low on lubrication and the motor is fine?
If the motor was heating up significantly, you'd be able to feel the residual heat off the plastic housing as well.
