I'm thinking of making a MFT3 type top and would like to attach a Bosch rail for the 400 via some sort of hinge. Does anyone have the ability to accurately measure the size of T-bolt I would need? Has anyone built their own table using extrusions?

What legs did you use and did you manage to affix a rail via some sort of hinge?

Dewalt fold out trestle. I haven't tried to attach a rail as it's not important for me. I will grab a pic of the table and how it attaches to the tressel.

Thanks. Exactly what I had in mind. Where you've fixed your profiles I was going to use 18mm x 150mm strips of ply and then fix the the profiles to the ply but your way would be just as stable but lighter. Where did you get the profiles from?what clamps etc?

8mm slot for the festool clamps to fit. I used the t clamps to bolt the board to them.

Oxfordshire, UK.
Today I made a worktop of sorts out of 18mm MDF and used the lr32 system to locate the holes accurately. How accurate remains to be seen as I'm awaiting some bench-dogs. I'll put a 50mm rip of 18mm ply on edge around the outside underneath albeit set back 30mm. Hopefully this will give it some rigidity and allow room for me to be able to fix 3060 extrusions at a later date.
I would like to get some T-bolts on order to try and fix a Bosch rail to some sort of flip-down rail-guide like the Festool one but don't know the dimensions of the slot on the rail.

Tymbian, I'll measure the slot later today. There are some Kreg T bolts that fit, but I couldn't find them down here. I have some 'rail dogs' that suit the Mafell rails, and the T bolt that comes with them is just a standard T bolt that has had the head ground down in thickness.

It is in a post on here for a year or 3 back. I would search for Kreg and start at the bottom and work up. Or I can look up the Kreg part # or the post.
You can also get the rail dogs and use the T-bolt to attach the rail dog, and the rail dog goes into the 20-mm hole.

Thanks for the pics..1.78mm in height so I take it ( im no engineer ) a 1.5mm would fit. Two different widths though is that right?
That's something else I was looking at getting...the rail-dogs. Are we talking the Qwas rail-dogs or do Kreg make them for the Bosch rail?

Ha ha..I've just understood the two different widths. Outside of 't' and the thread body diameter..( did I mention I'm not an engineer? ).
