So I was looking for a small miter saw stand to use with the new Metabo cordless. I stumbled upon the Bosch GTA2600. Only problem - can't get in the US. I logged in to Amazon UK and ordered it yesterday. 134.00 shipped to my door. It arrived TODAY!! WOW - who knew? I will be checking there a bit more often!

I done that a few times. It's almost always better to buy the German tools from amazon.de though, in part because the Euro has been demolished, but they also carry more of the German brands, which allows for more price competition. If you want systainers, they're about half the US price...add a few to offset the price of shipping. Even if you buy one, it's cheaper because price fixing is illegal in the EU. They sell the Metabo Metalocs too, which I've now amassed quite a pile of. i.e. www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003ZX7UIY vs www.festoolusa.com/power-tool-accessories/storage-systems/sys-3-empty-systainer-497565Metalocs are cheaper, but I like 'em better than the T-Loc systainers: www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008Z9VLS8Also note that the prices are listed with VAT, so knock another 20% off the price before you add back on shipping. What's also weird, is if you check the inventory at amazon.it, amazon.fr, and amazon.es, they're all different. Some of the same items that are AmazonGlobal eligible on one site, aren't on the other, even though once the order is placed, they all share the same set of warehouses (I've had stuff come from the UK, Belgium, Germany, and France so far). It's worth checking all five sites.
