Messing around a bit today and was wondering whether there is any way to set a 'tuneable'positive stop for the 45deg bevel. The 400s indicator actually goes slightly past the 45deg Mark... if I eye the indicator to the middle of the 45deg Mark I can get 45deg or there abouts which isn't good enough if you ask me and if you can judge exactly 45deg by the time you've released the bevel to cut a different angle and moved it back you won't hit exactly the same spot again.. 45 should be just that and not almost 45 or 45-and-a-bit.

I don't own a 400 but on the mt55 you have the ability to fine tune the 45 degree stop as well as the 90 via some set screws. Isn't there any such adjustments on the 400?

Just to add, if I ever need to be positively dead nuts accurate on a bevel angle with any saw, I'll often cut a set up block with say a miter saw or a kss to a pencil line, or use a t bevel. Set the saw to the block or t bevel. Great for repeat cuts too.
