Anyone know if the cordless version of this uses the Bosch 36V batteries? It seems like that is the case but hard to tell from the pictures.

Spoke to the folks at TimberWolf about the KSS60 last week. It's not available in 120 yet, no idea when it will be. They have not yet sold any of the cordless version ... Who's gunna be the first?

The KSS60 is in the USA now!! noticed that it is available for purchase on TimberwolfTools website..... link The purchase price is better than expected , the cut capacity and Cuprex motor are a welcome upgrade from the KSS400 .

And not much more weight and really just a little bit more...so all in all I would say it is a good deal. I want one...

The 80 is an awesome machine, but heavy for all day use. I think the 60 would be a great daily driver and an upgrade over the 400 in many ways.

I agree that the 60 is an upgrade to the 400, I'm still eyeing the 80 for that increased capacity and 60 degree beveling, specifically for roof framing, tgi's and processing of multiple sheets at a time. Bring on the Monster!

So I wonder -- with the 60, is there really a need for the 400 anymore? Not sure what advantages it offers over the 60 other than being slightly lighter. Less power, less depth of cut, not variable speed, blade-guard still old style lever and the 60 is only a little more. Just curious what others think on this point. Not trying to bash the 400, just trying to see why it has not been phased out now that the 60 is here.

the 60 more than likely will start to phase out the 400. Advantage for the 400, it uses the same blades as the mt55, or festool ts55, so a broader selection. The 60 makes more sense for versatility though in regards to framing and gives it the advantage over the new hk 55's festool is releasing here

Kss60 in cordless will be my next saw for sure. It ticks so many boxes for me; new framing saw, I've been wanting s kss and I've been wanting a cordless circ saw.
