The Mrs is moving offices, and I priced out doing a 'sound proof' wall.
After the formal quote came in, she nodded affectionately that I was allowed to proceed.
Putting in a top and bottom plate and attaching side sides to the existing bricks.
I routed in some morticed type of notched, to more easily facilitate the assembly and work at the office tomorrow and Saturday.

The blue stud'let is an off cut of a vertical stud that slots in.
Also put the Bosch rail onto the MFT today as the bits form Kreg came in.
One hole needed to be enlarged a tad for the 1/4" T bolt to fit in.
The long Seneca dogs seemed to be worthwhile. I used them to index to the back of the Bosch rail and slide the stops over.
Now the rail is normal to the dog holes in the table.
The dogs also came in handy for the glueing up the template. When I sent back to the woodyard they had no 70x35 (3x1.5") so I had to get 70x45. Then as the template was glued I had to use the jog saw to widen it.
But it ended up better which a pound in fit. I hit it with a file and it was perfect enough.
There was a door to the office behind that was easily talked through (hollow core with gaps all around). I sealed the gaps before the fellows from Queensland gyprocked (drywalled) the new wall on the other side using St Gobain's Greenglue (tm) sealer, and put 2 sheets of gyprock on the door with green glue between them the first one and the door, and then between the second and first. It is much better now and shouting at full turretts results in a barely audible hearing of the sound. I have not measured it, but It seems like 40-50 dB of loss now, and I started at ~10dB insertion loss for the door on its own.
