Unfortunately the 770 track only works with the kss400 saws
The reason I asked is that people have been writing that, then I read at festoolownersgroup.com/other-tool-reviews/mafell-kss-300/25/ that "I have the kit with the Flexirail in the Sys III. Also, I bought a short Mafell 800mm fixed rail for it, which most people assume that the KSS300 won't fit, but it does. You will lose a few mm in cutting depth vs the Flexirail though."

KSS 300 will work on 3 rail options- The two that it comes with and the standard guide rails. It can only ride the F rail when doing standard non beveled cuts. Since the F rails are thicker than the two rails (flexi and KSS rails) it would chew up the splinter strip if you tried to bevel it. Also the added thickness of the F rail is what the guy on FOG would have been referring to also.
I second wrightwoodwork in confirming that the 770 track only works with the KSS400.

Okay, that's unfortunate. Thanks for the confirmation though.
I'm not very read up on the tools, so can I ask what the difference is between the standard and the F-rail? Is it the same thing?

The standard rails and the F rails are both the same

Still waiting for my 300 to turn up - DHL are so sloooow, compared to UPS. Much cheaper though.

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a Kss300 blade that can cut this
any suggestions as to what I need please. The Hardieblade doesn't look like it fits.

I got a Festool (Hardyboard) blade for the TS55 (which fits the MT55). What is the arbor and diameter for the kss?
Hitachi and others make a lot of blades.
I put the hiachi blade in the jig saw and it beavers through just fine. You may want to consider a few for the those on the consumables list if the floor has corners.

Hey guys - Does the 300 come with a 'traditional' parallel guide, for ripping? And, off the track, is it a viable alternative to a small circular (cordless) saw?

It FINALLY arrived today - another impressive Mafell tool. Put an Aus plug on it, and made a few test cuts. Cuts were effortless in 18mm MR particleboard, and 'Nordic Birch' melamine on 16mm MDF. Also set the track at 45° and cut a couple of mitres. Spot on, with no chipping. As usual, the instructions are ...'lacking'. Is there a trick to getting the saw off the track? I did it, but was luck, I think! All the controls are easy to reach/operate. Didn't have it hooked up to a vac, but most of the dust appeared to be exiting via the port, which is a good sign. Haven't tested out the flexi track yet, but what an amazing piece of gear. I have some vents to cut into a built in I'm working on, at home, and this saw will be perfect for them. It came with two blades - both triple chip - I'll be ordering a ripping blade and timber crosscut blade asap.

For taking it off the rail lift up the height of the saw and push it slightly forward and push the thumb lock and pull the saw back off the rail from what I remember

That's how you do it. No need to push forward though.

Haven't done a whole lot of work with 'The little beast', but what I have done has been fantastic. Cut some painted toe-recess fronts and scriber strips - very accurate, chip free. Have ordered a ripping blade and general crosscut blade.
