OK. So how about a base that tilts forward up to say 45° changing the pitch of the blade as it enters the work piece as well as a bevel ability up to 45°. You could end up doing some crazy compound cuts! I wouldn't think of it with another jigsaw but I think the p1cc could handle it. Could be a stupid idea though.

I think the more rudimentary version of your idea can be done with the collins coping foot. It wouldn't be possible to know if you were on any certain precise side bevel angle like it would with a tilting base but for just back cutting and entering the material mid cut the coping foot works great.

I think so too but for those of us who want to dial it in... who knows how useful it even is. I'm just daydreaming

I like it! Like you said, due to the blade guidance (or lack thereof) on the P1cc it lends itself to some imaginative uses.
I've been mulling some sort of CMS-like adapter plate that I could use an inverted P1cc on an Erika, but before I spend too much time going down that rabbit hole I first need to get an Erika.
Looking forward to seeing if you take this somewhere!

I don't think it would be difficult, your idea. you know what would be nice. A machined piece to click into the saw base that you could screw on to a piece of wood or metal for use in jigs.

Go to 2:14 on this video and you can see this with the CMS.

Having my head up my rear up in the mountains, most of the time, I don't know what this thread is about. I did move to 2:14 on the posted video, however, and I was blown away! That's a very clever idea that any self-sufficient person could love and appreciate.
Now, please explain ... Is using the P1 cc as a makeshift, yet very cool, bandsaw what you had in mind, Ghostfist?
