Dear All,
I am new to this forum and I thank you all for your interesting input, so far I was ready and learning, now I need your help !
I purchased a used Mafell LO 50 for a cheap price because the collet and nut were missing, I have found various references on Internet from German sellers, but they only sell the collet, not the nut.
Would you know which other make/model would share the same collet/nut combo ?
I guess Festool OF 1010 but I would like to be sure (Metabo OF 1229 seems the same as well, at least on a picture...).
I am based in France and I would like to avoid the trip to the closest Mafell shop (I called them and they do not wish to order on the phone, they want to see the machine and check the reference, I do not have much free time to pay them a visit).

I'll see if I can dig up a manual but you should be able to order any parts you need directly through mafell. They have a similar system to festool ekat.

Hi GhostFist,
Thank you very much for the link, I used it previously to find the Mafell references when trying to source the parts on Internet. Unfortunately the French "distributor" (as displayed on Mafell wbesite) no longer distributes them in real life. They are like most typical French pro distributors; open at 8AM, close at 12, open at 14, close at 17, from Monday to Friday; no way you can visit these guys if you have standard working hours, and no Showroom by the way, only a counter where you can ask what you need, and the price is never displayed on anything, I know they are not interested in individual/retail buyers for sure... I went there at 16h45 (they close at 17h00); when the salesman saw me he looked directly at his watch and he was not smiling at all !!
If anybody knows an online retailer, these are all the references I need; 076 441 (8mm collet for LO 50) 076 442 (nut for LO 50) 038 986 (chip extractor port for LO 50) 2000 42 (chip extractor for KSS400 24V, same I guess as normal KSS or KSP 55) 078 248 (red latch to secure systainers on a Starmix/Mafell/Metabo "clone" dust extractor)

I would imagine, though I'm only guessing, that a uk distributer would ship to you. Or heck, straight from Germany.

If you know the part numbers any of the dealers can help you. If it was me I would just call another dealer who will send you the parts. Otherwise I would contact Mafell directly. Why would the dealer care if you ordered the wrong parts?

Yeah - I should have deleted the post, as I ordered some 8-mm bits and then the collet from Tobias. (There were no 8-mm bits in town)

I do at times think of getting some 8mm bits of certain cutters then I can use in either router

I like 8mm bits. Wish they were more available in North America.

Could/would anybody would suggest, where to get 1/4" collet for the LO50E ? Or an actual internal dimensions of it to try to find something close sizeways? Thanks!

Try Festool OF1010 collets... no promises by the way! The Mafell LO65 and OF2200 are interchangeable - along with the collets from my 30 year old Elu MOF177E !
