This video showcases some joinery and finishing techniques for traditional Japanese woodwork. I guess I keep exploring techniques used in the orient just to try and gain a different perspective on woodcraft than what is typically highlighted in North america. I'd love to explore the history of European woodworking more or that of Russia and other parts of the world. Not slagging american arts and crafts furniture, but I'm a little tired of Greene and Greene. Anyway, enjoy the video.

Really enjoyed that. Obviously it's not the type of work I do. There was a couple of things from it I certainly could use in my own work pieces

It's not really my type of work either but I find looking at things from a different perspective than you're used to can be helpful.
