So, it turns out that the Qwas Rail Dogs will work with the Mafell F Tracks, using the bolts that come with the Kreg Klamp Block Set. Similar to the other 20mm dogs on the market, the Rail dogs rely on the CNC'd accuracy of a MFT or other table top. I like them because it eliminates the need for the complicated hinge mechanism for the Festool track. If you are cutting a lot of the same thickness material, you can use scraps to shim up the track so that you can easily slip material underneath the track. Now, granted, most of the time I'm happy to use my KSS-400 track, or the Angle Fence for the F-tracks, but for repeated production work I thought this would be a nice addition. I think that these would excel in ripping applications - set it in one set of holes and you can keep the kerf in the same place and use the MFT fence as a stop.

Good morning Tom.
Just stumbled across this old post whilst trying to work out how best to get my F-Rails to clear bench dogs on a home-made MFT.
It looks like a brilliant and simple solution, I just wanted to ask about the fit of the QWAS rail dogs in the clamping track on the underside of the F-Rail.
Obviously the dogs can be moved up and down the rail as required, but do they have any lateral play in them before being tightened? My table is spot on with the hole alignment and I wanted to be sure that any play in the dogs will not affect the cut accuracy by letting the rail slightly stray from the dog holes.
Hopefully that makes sense and you still use this forum!
Thanks, Duncan.
