Thanks for posting that.
I hope he does get vets there as I believe there would be healing for both the students as well as the master.

There was a time in my life where I was poor and destitute. I worked a crummy warehouse job breaking my back for no money with a bunch of schmucks just like me. I mistakingly felt the kinship shared amongst us could only occur through suffering. It wasn't the suffering though it was problem solving, in that case helping each other survive and overcome. I imagine it's the same comradeship felt by military personnel in the field, but I find it most accessible through a building project. Benefits of building over the other two options is that the suffering should be less and you don't have to kill anyone. ...hopefully. just a thought.

Interesting insights & I agree. There are many ways to bond with other people, some definitely healthier than others. I like stories like this Blue Ox guy who seem to find their place in the world even when they feel that they don't fit very well. He seems like a fascinating old rugged dude.

Thanks I enjoyed that. The shower thing made me chuckle. My father used to say that there were two types of people in the world. The ones who shower in the morning before work and the ones who shower in the evening after work. Never heard anyone else say that until now.

I find the Blue Ox Really inspirational I could tell in 1980 that there was not enough training or mentoring in trades. I finished my 5yr apprenticeship in 1983. I believe there's a need for this now more than ever. Some people are not cut out for collage but have plenty of brain power /problem solvers. lambs done on the BBQ bye for now
