Owned a P1cc for about a year now and it's the best jigsaw I've ever used. I just wish Mafell had etched rule markings on the circle cutting guide though. Any thoughts?

While I don't own this saw, but desperately want to, is it difficult setting a radius with the guide? No other saw I've owned has etched markings on their guides but a ruled reference never hurts, as long as it's accurate. Thinking as I'm typing, differences in blade thickness would make accurate readings difficult if not impossible.

Heh, now that you mention it... That could very well be the reason. It's not difficult, but I've caught myself wishing for one though on occasion. (But I always use the W1 Cunex blades so I hadn't considered the different blades yet)

With my festool trion, I've set the radius to my layout using the kerf on the splinter guide as reference. YOu could probably do the same with your mafell although easier as you don't have to muck with any guide jaws

Any Mods For Longer Radius Cuts That Others Have Used?

mafell-users-forum.freeforums.net/attachment/download/392mafell-users-forum.freeforums.net/attachment/download/391This is a very basic version. I threw it away after I did the needed cut but it could be used as a starting point for your thinking on a "real" jig. I will eventually make a more permanent one for both the jigsaw and a router. This simple one had a piece that went over the top of the two you see in the picture and just held together with a couple 1" finish nails. It worked great because the saw was completely trapped. This one was about 11' long, could make any length from scrap.

Very cool...did you buy flat stock to fit the channel of the saw?

Do you know what the measurement is of the parallel fence bar? I do not have my saw yet and will not for a few weeks due to having them wait to ship until mid-week next week, but I was thinking about trying to source some stock. I am thinking that some kind of little clamp to the side of the stock with a nail would work.

Very cool...did you buy flat stock to fit the channel of the saw? No, the bar in the picture that fits through the base of the saw comes standard with the saw and clamps into that slot. I just locked the pieces of shelving cleat around the bar by cutting a channel out on the table saw to the exact width and depth of the standard piece. Make sense?

Got it -- it is just the parallel fence flipped upside down? I was expecting to see the rd cover shown in the videos unless I am missing something. Cool jig nonetheless. Looking forward to getting my saw in the next few weeks to give it a go.

The parallel guide is the radius guide as well it can also be a rail guide, though the p1cc is grooved to run on the rail on its own. Personally, I love that the guide is multi faceted. Other companies would require you to purchase a whole other systainer kit.

Yes -- it is pretty cool and it is great that it is standard equipment too...I am not sure why all jigsaws do not come with one or have one available. I am looking forward to getting my saw.
