So the Old Mafell box's were like the old Festool box's and were really good. I've just got a new K85 Ec and its got a new type box, similar to Bosch. So why did they change a good thing?   |

They still use Tanos systainers but the KSS80 is just too big to fit. So that's why the KSS comes in a Sortimo box.

I have a bunch of Systainers and Sortimos and like them both. The Sortimo boxes are pretty rugged and actually sized better proportionately than the Systainers in my opinion. The latches on them are the only weakness, but so far they have all held up with no issues.
