I bought the p1cc several months ago and now it's developed an intermittent fault where it will work then stop and start again, cont.
I phoned mafell who say it's a break in the cable so Ill be able to fix it myself and it wouldn't void the warranty. I've tried to get this in an email to back up any warranty problems in the future but I've had to response so far.
I think the way the Jigsaw sits in the systainer and is made to wrap around the outside has caused the breakage, possibly near where it connects to the Jigsaw itself.
Has anyone had a similar fault, problem and fixed it themselves or had mafell do it? Also anyone had problems with the warranty because of fixing their tools themselves?

If Mafell have said it's ok, I'd go with that. Maybe take note of who you spoke to and when, just in case. Have heard a few stories about owners fixing the tools themselves, with Mafell shipping the parts to them and, if necessary, talking them through the repair. (Obviously only simple repairs). I broke a part on my P1 (my fault) and the retailer got the part for me and I fixed it myself. From memory, I was told the same as you re. warranty etc.

Cable change is not warranty, it is easy to change, lots have done it to put on Neutrik Powercon or similar.
Mafell are cool about warranty work.
Once you get the new cable in, try not to wrap it so tight in the Systainer, there is enough room in there.
