Been using Festool ETSC125 for various small jobs, but trying to sand down a weathered teak table now and it’s very slow going. Machine doesn’t seem powerful enough to sand with higher grit unless almost no pressure is applied, and so silvery channels remain.
The Mafell looks interesting with its delta sanding component, but don’t see it mentioned much here. Is it any good?
Also wondering if there’s something obvious I’m missing here as vast majority seem to go toward disc sanders, perhaps this is an awkward shape?
Edit: Ok, newb here didn’t take into account that 115E has no random action, so would be able to use with grain only. Be fine for large wooden surfaces but perhaps too niche to buy.

Its a really nice sander. Paired with the Abranet which Mafell provides by default it is extremely smooth and has very little vibration. One user in another forum described it as a hovercraft.
Yes the square base has no random action, you have to move it in order to not see swirls. Obviously the square base and the delta extension lets you sand in edges.
But it's a relatively heavy (due to the size) and loud sander.
Although the Mafell is a fast square base sander, it wouldn't be my first choice for a table.
For a table I'd use a belt sander with a frame. The frame helps to not sand gouges.

It is good. I usually go rough with it, and when it is seeming flat, then I switch to the RO, to deswitks it.
Other times I'll do RO to 80 or 120, then 115 to make sure it is flar, and then back to RO.
