Might get you out of trouble, but really 5.5ah would be the minimum for a saw IMO.

This is almost impossible to answer... density of wood, what blade, condition of blade, how well supported the work is, speed you push through the cut, technique (i.e. no side loading pressure on the blade), temperature of the battery, if you'll be doing a pre-scoring cut or not, etc...
For the saws you want a 5,5ah or higher, they allow a higher current draw than the smaller batteries - my saws all work better on the bigger batteries. As lincoln said - it might get you out of trouble... the 4,0's are pretty good, and in a drill I go a long time without charging, I've only used them in the MT55 to get me out of trouble and I wasn't in 'measure the runtime' mode... it'll do until you can get a 5,5.

While this won't answer your question directly. I watched a german video the other day on youtube where they compared a few different cordless track saws against the new Metabo. There was no subtitles so i don't know what the outcome was for all of the saws. They were cutting 3 sheets of 18mm osb at a time and with the 8ah battery fitted, the metabo cut 54 meters before stopping. So i would think if the Mafell was using that battery it would give similar results. I know the Festool TSC55 stopped at 30 meters of cutting.

There is an excellent review and comparison of cordless track saws at www.toolboxbuzz.com/head-to-head/best-cordless-track-saw/They used double stacked 3/4" plywood and a pull mechanism to ensure consistency. Mafell came in the middle of the pack with 128 feet on 5.5Ah battery. This translates to 93 ft (28 meters) with 4Ah battery. Obviously it will differ for your case, but gives you a general idea of what to expect.
