Hi gang! I'm planning on rearranging the layout of my van shelving in a few weeks, and I'd like to make sure that I am accommodating the new Metabo ASR35 with MetaDepot that I intend to purchase in late-March. I have the width of the ASR35 as 40cm wide. Does anybody know if the Systainer docking plate is any wider than the 40cm width of the vac? Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks!! Best, Tom

Why not wait a little longer until Starmix comes out with their new sys-dock?

Why not wait a little longer until Starmix comes out with their new sys-dock? Hmm, good question! Do we have confirmation from Starmix that they are for sure releasing an updated dock?

Yes one of their product managers said that they are working on it in a german tool-forum, but no release-date etc.

No worries Sir! If nothing else, if I can size my cabinet to accommodate the old-style docking station I should be safe.
I sent a message to my contact at Metabo to see if he's heard any updates regarding the updated Systainer Dock for the new Starmix vacs.
I also e-mailed Starmix to get word from them regarding any updates they might have regarding an updated Systainer dock.
I'll post more info when I get it.

Hey Tom, sorry didnt have the time today, lot to do... Im back in the shop on friday, sorry... Hi, finally i got the chance to measure the ISP Vac with the Mafell Dock (see my picture in the other star mix ISP-thread). Width of the dock alone: 37,5cm. Width of the vac with mounted dock: 39cm. (the vac is wider then the dock). Depth of the vac with mounted doc: ca. 58cm. Depth of the vac alone ca. (!) 50cm without mounted hose. With hose its about 15cm more depth. Forgot to measure the hight of the vac with mounted dock, if sou need it i will do this fast today, please just say it!. Hope this helps! greets from Germany :-)

Thanks Christoph, "You Da Man"!!
This is VERY helpful!! Based on this information, I believe that my current system would accommodate the ASR35.
At your convenience, could you give me a total height of the ISP Vac withe the Dock?
Again, very excited, now I can plan on updating my van cabinets. Good stuff!

Ooops! Yup, Metabo is claiming a retail price for the ASR 35 HEPA ISP vac (part# US602057800) as $642.
This price is nearly identical to the comparably sized Festool CT-36 at $645, and much less than the CT-36 Auto Clean at $775, and by all accounts the ASR 35 ISP will outperform either of the Festool vacs.
Other pricing: 630343000 Fleece Filter Bag (5/pack) $45.14 630325000 PVC collection bags (5/pack) $55.64

Total hight of vac with dock is 59cm (with the red clips, without about 1cm less). Without the dock, the vac is about 55-56cm high.

Thank you christoph, that's VERY helpful! As my system is designed right now, fitting a 59.6mm CT-36 into my cabinets is REALLY tight, but I THINK that I can accommodate 59cm even..... I'll check things out this evening.
My Metabo Rep said he'd check in with his German colleagues regarding if/when a new Systainer Dock/MetaDepot will be released for the Starmix ISP vacs, I'll post as soon as I hear something.

I was really beginning to loose hope that Starmix would ever release a Systainer adapter for the new iPulse vacs, but I just read a post from a Starmix employee on a German forum where he or she claims they're going to introduce a facelifted version of the iPulse or at least a systainer adapter plate "soon". Which was followed with a statement that might take until mid 2017.
