Nice review. Interesting to read that they have been through 3 sliding chop saws and the Erika still looks like new starts to make it look like good value. Also the joiners on site use the sliders for roughly chop to size the trim but prefer to final trim with the Erika. At work if the apprentice has to cut a short piece of skirting that is far to dangerous to cut on the chop saw, he will come to me and ask me to cut it on the Erika

I've been saying for years how dangerous miter saws are and the Erika being a safer option. Guess i'm not the only one.

I have been seeing the small ad below in recent issues of Fine Homebuilding magazine. It would make more sense to me for them to advertise some of their smaller saws because I assume the big boy timber framers already know about Mafell. It also doesn't seem to me that there are a large number of timber framers reading Fine Homebuilding. I would guess the smaller saws could really benefit more readers. Who knows, in a few years we might see Mafell with some full page ads. The middle picture shows the ad sized on the whole page.

That was my main reason for getting the Erika was versatile can change and extend things when I need
