I would trust Rupes & Metabo to stand behind their ‘versions’ or to be at least licensed. (The Rupes Skorpio E could be an ergonomic improvement in some situations with possibly a few other good tweaks - worth looking into in my opinion) But a year or so ago when I looked into the AirVANTAGE / CarSystem / Delmeq / Indasa / Sumake , I felt uneasy. I’m not quite sold that Mirka is that strongly connected with these versions. Would love to learn otherwise if only for the options and possible sales opportunities. When it’s in-house rebadging like Nilfisk/Starmix does that’s one thing but I’m not convinced quite the same is happening here. Those ten, all 5 star reviews, on amazon for the Menzer I find suspect too. Seems more like a sales team priming the pump. Hard to know with lesser known brands what holding company will cut off an arm on a whim and leave you without a warrantee or parts.

It looks exactly the same. In this case must be manufactured by Mirka (or the same factory) The Deros 5650 is a 650cv with an extra 125 plate? Is it important to have a 125 having a 150?

125mm is better for edges, easier to keep at 90 degrees to the surface. Of course it can be done with a larger sander, it's just easier with a smaller sander.

Worth a try. Thanks. At the moment I´ve found a deros 650 (cardboard) at 365€ and the Metabo 150 clone at 320€ Vat excluded The difference is the Metabo does not have bluetooth conectivity I believe

I’m sure you already know this but just as a reminder - ( this is copied from old notes, North America model #ers used here, verify first )
Model #915GV28-130 Mirka 5"/125mm Grip 28-Hole Vacuum Backup Pad is specifically designed and weighted for use with 6"/150mm Mirka Deros sander. ( works on Creros & Pros too ).
This heavier 5"/125mm backing pad weighs 130 grams vs. 100 grams of a standard 5" backup pad allowing you to sand with 5"/125mm grip sanding discs on your stock 6"/150mm Deros without having to fiddle with / adjust counter-balance mechanism.
This heavier pad is not designed for use with stock 5"/125mm sanding machines, it's too heavy.
It accepts net style, multi-hole, 8-hole, 9-hole (Festool) and 17-hole pattern sanding discs.
The 915GV28 includes a 5" Mirka Pad Protector/Saver (#99528), recommended for use when using with Net sanding discs.

... also might try contacting your local Rep to see if any demo units available, deals, specials etc. or if they can throw something else in to sweeten the deal. Most of the time they just want to come out and do a high pressure sales demo so spell out what you're looking for as they are set to automatic.

Picked up a used DEOS & a new Delmeq Delta at V good prices from Fleabay UK. There's on average a couple of used DEROS from either the UK or France, etc.; DEOS tend to be rarer.
I paid about Au $1400 approx (US $1000, Euro 840, GBP 380) for a paired kit of a DEOS 81 x 133, DEROS 125/150 x 5mm, 2 cables & 3 sampler packs in a Systainer, plus another 120 odd assorted grit Abranet discs & rectangles in the 3 different sizes/shapes sorted into 10-packs, which were jammed into the edges of the shipping box as padding. I honestly don't remember if the kit came from the UK or Germany. Too long ago. It was free postage, & thankfully no local GST either, so although initially expensive, they've both been firm favourites, instantly making a swag of my older sanders redundant.
Can't say the same about the second hand DEOS. Nothing wrong with the sander at all, except that it's just a weird (70 x 200 mm) painter's & plasterer's size & shape. I much prefer the nominally "smaller" 81 x 133 size. It was fairly cheap @ around GBP 150 + postage. I was hoping to "convert" it into a DEOS Delta, but in the end found it to be too much palaver & decided to buy a Clone instead.
The Delmeq Delta was about Au $600 from memory (from the Netherlands), & a locally purchased DEROS 8mm was about Au $800, both bare tools in cartons, both of which now reside in the old second hand DEOS Systainer. Sort of. Actually the 2 DEROS are together (naturally) & the DEOS & Delta in the other.
Incidentally, I'm a bit ho-hum about the 125 MM sized pad & discs. I don't think I've even opened the 125mm ten packs of supplied Abranet yet. After using up the sampler pack I kind of decided "why bother" & the smaller pad has never graced the sander since. The only time it'll ever return is if I run out of appropriately gritted 150 mm discs. The smaller size, although only 25mm less in diameter, actually has about half the surface area & presumably therefore abrades about half as fast!

I had the mirka in my hand and no need for a demo. I want it. Not sure if a little cheaper no bluetooth metabo or the yellow. Not worried about systainers and metabox as I´m full of big half empty boxes in my little shop.

I prefer a random orbit. But I will give it a try a hand block with vacuum hose. (Cheapnese amazon mirka or festool copies) Well the hose would be for existing RO. the Mirka handblck is like 30-40€ so I would get a yellow one from Finland before I got a copy Their hose For the vacuum is also 10-20€ so way save a peso and take a risk?
