Hello everyone,
I haven't been able to find anything on forum searches for the tolerance on straightness (in/ft or similar) for the guide rails. Does anyone happen to know the allowable tolerance?
I noticed my new MT55 was catching in the middle of two joined rails (while sliding smoothly on the free ends. Additionally, I notice a C shaped curve (same curve on multiple cuts) fairly visible to eye along the cut from end to end. This curve has been pretty consistent. I measured the latest cut @ 0.048 inches over a 96 inch cut for a 0.006 in/ft difference. Additionally,I can feel an ever so slight lip where the rails join at the rectangular protrusion that mates to the saw. I've followed the suggested operating methods (tightening the saw to the track with the black knobs, very slight push into the rail while pushing down the track, pieces clamped down), so I would think operator error should be ruled out.
Any suggestions?
Wondering whether I should just request a swap for the rails since I'm still under warranty.

Need better support for material being cut , the rails will flex the connector will not , creating the bump .

I'll take a look at making sure I support along the full width. These were cut on a 6 ft long torsion box table with 1 ft overhanging on each side (with a piece of foam board underneath, so possible some slop from the pieces on the overhang
Thanks! Jake

You could try end-for-ending your guiderails to see if that makes a diff.

Strange I remember, had such issue with rails not aligning well (FesT), has been solved by recutting the end, but never come across such with Mafell. Some photos would help TBH
