Forgive my brazenness in this, especially considering I'm a neophyte here.
I noticed that jalvis (founding members & admin) hasn't visited the forum in a considerably long time, and GhostFist doesn't login terribly often. jonathan is the only one; so if he meanders off, we're adrift...
I was wondering if there's any plan/formal process to provide more admins. I am blown away by this forum, it's tiny, but it reminds me of the early days online. I don't want to see it go away, or have an exodus and then eventually lose all the info when the host decides that no one's here and saves some money.
Anyway, just thought I'd ask about this, and if anyone else is wondering the same thing. Hate to lose this resource right after I found it.
Hi. First, can I thank the contributors to this forum; I am reader of those who have given their time/energy to make this site a 'goto' read on a regular basis.
I do hope that Ghost / moderators are keeping well - that nothing has seriously affected their lives; leading to this perception of unexplained 'silence'.
However, am getting increasingly (very) twitchy - if the site disappears into the ether, I would feel a sense of loss that perhaps isn't entirely rational. Much I have I learnt: not just about Mafell products, but also useful knowledge / tips about all manner of things.
I'm sufficiently concerned, that am thinking of having to copy threads, including images, to a spare hard drive for future reference. Being a tech' idiot, this would, for me, be quite a long task - but what else to do? Any tips as to best way to go about this, efficiently, would be appreciated
I can't speak to the situation of Jalvis and Ghostfist, but unless I'm to die, I'll be around. I check in regularly to delete the reported spam threads. There is no need to worry about the forum just disapearing.
Just thinking out loud. Fancy I'm more concerned about the viability/integrity of the site - will it just disappear one day? Who knows? The last two or three times I've logged on (certainly the last two times) I've had to reset my password; today it seemed very reluctant to allow me to request a password reset - genuinely, at one point, thought I was not going to be able to do it?
That side of things is the pro-boards platform - never had problems myself, but when you think about the number of platforms - pc's, tablets, mobiles - with different browsers and plugins - it's not too surprising there may be problems at times.
jimmyford: Can anyone mill a corian piece that will fit into the mafell rail for use with the mft3?

bengt: Oh please the ks60 is better in every way. 60 degree miter in both directions. Bevels past 45(essential in a saw that must cut on the flat) Bigger blade more capacity. The Metabo hpt has 57 degree miter max and 45 bevel max.

abdon: I stand corrected , the angle fence is only attaches with F -Tracks , what confused me was , that the Timberwolf site mentioned it will work with the NFU machine, yes it will work but only I guess when you use the Ftrack , with other tracks Like the KSS L.

glynnco: Did you order from GereedschapPro? I see them as in stock but I'm located in the US and am not sure if they ship here. I sent them an email asking about shipping but it was returned undeliverable...

jonathan: I've purchased a lot of stuff from our neighbours @ GereedschapPro.nl As far as I know they are one of the larger Mafell dealers in the EU. I can recommend them, they usually respond quickly.
