I have the DDF 40 and I'm wondering if anyone has a figure or reference for the distances/uses of all of the accessories. I've watched the videos at the TimberWolf page; they are useful, but I'd still dearly love to know the specific distances and uses?
While I'm asking, not just the accessories, but distances things like the offset from the outside of the shoe to the centerline (e.g., when doweling for shelves), is it 9, 9.5, or 10? What about from the side of the shoe to the center lines?
And to cram a third question in: does anyone have a specific way to obtain the 37mm offset from the front edge for drawer slides? Only way I can figure to do it is to dial in the manual SA 320 Side Fence Set thing.
Thanks y'all!

When doing shelf pin holes for the front edge I bring the fence down to 90 degrees and set the height to 37mm - have used this lots of times and never had any problem fitting a hinge due to the fence moving or being innacurate. The other option if you're really anti-fence is to make a 27.5mm Jig that you can clamp to the front edge of your cabinet and run the doweller base along it as you plunge. I've made a similar Jig for using my biscuit Joiner with a rubbish fence to cut grooves for rear panels and also for when you need rear shelf pin holes to line up with drawer runners which are usually further from the rear edge than the 60mm limit on the DDF40. A bit more clarification on the plastic pegs would be nice I agree. I have only used the 'K' insert thus far for doing shelf pin holes but don't have much of a clue as to what the other ones may help me achieve!

Thanks Ah, that offset being 9.5mm is great because it matches up with the 9.5 fence preset ("9,5" I just figured out that means I can set an internal shelf exactly (e.g., a cutout for a stove) by ensuring I use 9.5 on the fence when end-boring (and ensuring I'm looking at the surface facing the side I measured from). Oh, words fail me +----------------+ | | | | | | | | +----------------+ | | +----------------+ Middle Shelf | | ^ | | | | | + This side up when end boring | | with fence set at 9,5 | | +----------------+<------+ "Toe" against this (9.5mm offset) | | | | | | Spacer for cutout | | | | +----------------+ +----------------+ Bottom shelf
