I think I'm going to put on shiplap weather boarding, then at the corners make some sort of corner detail that will give a shadow gap and also have projection pieces at the sides of windows to give the shadow gap detail. Then at the tops of the windows and doors a sort of cill will be fitted

Hey Aaron,
How's the building coming? Has the winter weather slowed progress much? Looks like you're on the home stretch. Bet you'll be glad when you're done and can sit back and enjoy a nice glass of Lagavulin while admiring your completed work. Please post more pics as you progress, I enjoy the photos.

Not much at the moment I'm just building funds for materials and also being making plans of how things are to go and layout. Over the winter I will work on sheeting and insulting the walls. Then I will put the cladding on. Then there is a deck to do. Make a work bench looking at doing a roubo style bench. Something around 1800*700. Ideally I would like to get a planer thicknesser just not sure if to get a little combination machine or a little lunchbox. In a perfect world I would go for a full size 410 machine in practice I don't have the room and can't justify the cost the problem is getting something small that can do a thickness around 200mm and 300mm the Schreppach Plana2 looks closest the only thing is the width is still around 200 so a little narrow where the width is only 200 the budget is what I'm willing to pay at the moment. Or maybe go for the hammer or minimax machines when funds allow. Maybe another year or so. This year I intend in investing in clamps and router cutters. The sliding table for the Erika. Looking at the piher clamps. Will go for a combination of prl and sash clamps. And a some of there maxipress clamps around 300 and 400. A friend has the bessay F screw clamps and personally I don't like them. I feel you can't get the same pressure on them compared to an old fashioned sash clamps. I'm thinking the parralel clamps for cabinets and sash clamps for doors etc

Aaron, how's the door holding up? Any of the dowell joints opening up? I recently got the 16mm bits, and have a couple of doors to make, similar to yours.

The door is still in the same state as when made and the joints haven't got any worse. It could do with a coat of stain as a couple of places it's on the thin side, plus it's only got the one coat. Also with this wet weather one corner at the bottom is sticking. A weather bar on the bottom should help to solve the problem and she'd the water away from the part is running to causing the wood to swell. On the whole it standing up well
