Seedum roofs are pretty simple and very low maintanance. Would love to incorperate one into a home build.

Here is some pics of the roof work. All that is left to do is form the drip detail and make the welts and give the joints a final check. Will be pleased to get it water tight for the winter I have also started to insulate the inside and sheet with 18mm osb.

I like cycling too! Both road and mountain biking. Headed to the trails this morning, in fact.

Yeah I like it not done anything serious for a while. I just do the road. It is good to have that freedom. Maybe look at getting a new bike next year. Not sure what I fancy. Maybe something Italian

Well that's the roof all finished off with the torch on felt all the welts done and joints checked that they have tar seeping out. There was one or 2 bits I got carried away and applied a bit too much heat. So the mineral slightly slid . Properly wouldn't do for anyone else. As long as it don't leak then it's fine and the rest is cosmetic that only the birds are going to see when flying over.

Wow, great work! Love the details on this.
I love cycling too. Another off season trainer worth looking at, "rollers". The additional workout you get by focusing on balance and form is intense. Time seems to pass by faster too!

Yeah I used to have a set of rollers, until I sold on ebay wish I hadn't. I do fancy the krietlier rollers so simple and great for working on balance. I mind going to the cycle club training nights one of junior members then used to be able take his hands off the bars and unclip one leg I cycle with the other leg. He was pretty talented and is now part of the Olympic development squad for GB

I think I remember seeing a video of a guy changing his shirt while riding on rollers. That just seems like an accident waiting to happen.

I used to practice changing the gilet. Just for the simple reason if could do on the rollers would help when in a race situation when riding in the group. Anyway as I have now got the roof sealed I will start working on the inside getting it insulated and sheeted. I'm thinking of using between the ceiling joists as storage for certain items. Not worked out the details and how feasible. Basically I want to keep maximum floor space and have maximum storage and everything in its own areas. I plan to make a work bench. Certainly not garch size. It would need all the garden to fit in. So lots of things to keep busy with

Well that's the roofing all done apart from fitting a gutter for some brown water for the plants. All in reasonably happy with how it turned out glad I slightly changed the detailing of how the corbels, soffit and facia all worked together. I felt I was getting away from what was the original vision. Some of which is in my head and some I have sketched down. Truthfully if I have time I prefer to sketch down how I'm going to do it so I have an unwanted of any problems I might run into and also gives me an idea of how it's going to work. Papers cheap wood is expensive
