Skinee - congratulations on a great buy. Don't stress the machine with large screws too often, oil reliant impacts are for the lighter to medium work. I do run about 5x100 screws with mine in soft wood no problem.

Ok, Gang, now that we established that the Oil impact is a great little tool - what about this one: www.hikoki-powertools.com/products/powertools/li-ion-screw/wm18dbl/wm18dbl.htmlIt is another machine that the former Hitachi rep mentioned - and I assumed he was talking about the Oil impact but the way he described it didn't add up with the machine I got. The dial is different up front and it is a current machine. We will know for sure what the difference is, I ordered one in from Japan last night. This one can be bought elsewhere in Europe and in Oz. I found sites in Holland and in Germany that sell this one. According to the rep this one didn't catch on in Sweden but I suspect more due to the lack of advertising and directing it towards the wrong customer base. I didn't order from Europe as the German site apparently didn't ship to Sweden (not available in the select country rolling list at checkout) and the Dutch site only had full kit with batteries.

Apparently the Electronic Impulse WM10DBL is available in a few select stores over here. One store happened to have the 10.8V (Hitachi label) in stock at a 50% discount with two batteries - perfect for the new workshop. It has four modes and a programmable mode through USB (!). I am now past the saturation point in my hoarding of drills and drivers and I decided to let go of all the Festool drills - except the CXS.

Gonna throw one into the mix: The new Bosch hybrid impact (GDX 1800) is a huge improvement over the previous model. It’s very precise (ala Festool). But yeah, Hikoki, Milwaukee, Makita and Dewalt all do the impact drivers very well. And, obviously, only three of them do the quiet models (and well).

Always good to be updated.

Always good to be updated. more POWER The handle is weird because there’s a slot for that bluetooth wafer. You get used to it. Overall, I like it better than the old thin one. It knows when you put a...you guys have “proCore” right?..yes, a procore vs core vs wimpy 2aH. It acts accordingly. It’s a tougher build quality. It can drive pretty darn precisely and do that super slow speed that a Festool can do. I’ve swapped in for the newest biggest cells, so ymmv. It no longer feels like I can’t compete with the top units from Makita/DeWalt/Milwaukee (who dominate the category). It’s well balanced with the 8ah on it. Would I reccomend it to someone that uses an impact driver 8-10 hrs a day? No. You’d be happier with a petite dedicated impact driver.

Ok, cool. The old slim grip hybrid is a bit weak at times, and a little bit top heavy. I run the ProCore batteries on my Bosch 18V. Good runtime and great power. No complaints.

I was working on some maintenance gig today and had the Bosch out in the grass and saw it from the corner of my eye and thought to myself “dang, that’s huge for an impact driver”. It did not get any smaller for round 2. 😂
