So here is the set up I've had for couple years but I want to improve it. I want it more like the Festool MFT one. Ie. easier adjust for different thickness materials and also be able to swing the rail up. I bought the full MFT set but never used it as there's too much play in the height adjustment part also the fence isn't long enough for my liking. I use it for cutting 2400 long sheets so I need minimum of this for all my adjustable reference stops. Searched the internet top to bottom and can't find anything but it boggles me to think many others haven't made something similar?
At this stage only solution I see is going back to Festool rails as so much easier. (Can just use two dead stops almost like rail dogs but fixed solid. Cant do this with Mafell rails as saw overhangs) But I just don't like those rails near as much as Mafell ones!
Has anyone made anything similar?
Please enlighten me!!! Anything would be helpful at this stage!!

I am new to track saws and have just invested in an MT55 with a rail kit. I too am looking to use the saw at a table and considering alternatives to making a flip up rail. I am considering buying a FT front and back rail support for this purpose. I have just ordered an mft replacement top and dogs (not original FT). I think that I may attach the rail supports with simple T track rebated into the front and rear aprons of the frame that I am making to house the mft top. Anyone see any downside to this ??
