I've done a good bit of googling and I keep coming up empty.
Are there any similarities between the metabo and the mafell jigsaw? In appearance they look really close. But I'm curious if the track attachments and such on the mafell will work on the metabo.
Anyone on here know anything?

Are there links?
The Mafell has the mechanism that grabs the blade and no rollers or guides, and it accepts the double thickness blade. Does the Metabo have the same magical arraingement? (A link might show some pictures.)

As far as I'm aware (I own one but not the other), there's little if any mechanical, operational or even aesthetic similarities betwixt & between. In regard to "track attachments" I'd suggest that you'd possibly be better off with Robbie Bosch's jigsaw FSN SA track adapter. This fits Mafell/Bosch (obviously) as well as Festo tracks. Whatever jigsaws fit, it fits. Most, I'd suggest. As the cutline's offset, alignment isn't an issue (but parallel is), & something as simple as dbl-sided carpet tape or even hot-melt glue would provide a couple of mounting solutions for off-branded saws. shop.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/product/system-accessories-fsn-sa--35828--1600A001FSBoth Mafell & Metabo significantly changed their physical characteristics between their last respective 2 jiggy models, but the old ones (Metabo STE 135 & Mafell STA 65) were even more different again. In summary, Metabo has a more contemporary but gimmicky feel & suite of features, whereas Mafell is just a plain, simple, super heavy-duty workhorse that's missing all the auto accelerators, headlights & tilting bases that Metabo has. Metabo maybe might have the edge in sheet & plate aluminium & steel, but the Mafell is the master of curves & deep cuts in hardwood.
